Melges 14 Euro Warm-Up

The crystal waters of Santa Margherita Ligure kicked off the European Melges 14 season the past weekend at the Vela Festival organized by "Giornale della Vela". The event was valid as WARM UP of the Melges 14 World League European Division.

On Saturday, very light wind conditions saw the triumph of Mario Aquila on his Melges 14 with the Gold rig, winning also the Tag Here Vela Cup ‘Dinghies; Category, overtaking skiffs and Lasers. First place in the Blue rig division is Manfredi Vianini Tolomei.

The weather of Sunday with shifty winds exceeding 30 knots didn’t allow the boats to race, crowning Mario Aquila as the Winner of this event!
