Melges King Of Poets Cup - Alessio Muciaccia leads the Melges 14 fleet

Portovenere (SP), 19 September 2020 - Another day of light wind closes the third event of the season for the Melges 20 fleet which, in the waters of the Gulf of Poets, found in the Russian entry Nika the best crew of a homogeneous and competitive fleet.

With an impeccable scoreline (2-1-3-3-1), without ever leaving the top-3, the crew of Vladimir Prosikhin, in which the tactical choices are entrusted to Alberto Bolzan, put the seal on the event, leaving behind a consistent Dario Levi with Fremito d'Arja (1-4-4-2-4) and the reigning European Champions on Brontolo by Filippo Pacinotti, whose final result was weighed down by today's ninth place (3-5 -1-1-9).

The final day of the Melges 20 coincided with the inaugural day of the Melges 14 fleet, which attracted a large group of helmsmen to the starting line: at the end of day 1, with two races completed, Alessio Muciaccia dominates the Gold Sail ranking with two firsts places, followed at a short distance by Guido Sirolli (5 pt.) and Leopoldo Sirolli (6 pt.). In the Blue Sail category, the leader is Luca Antonini (3 pt.), Followed by Davide Di Maio (4 pt.) And Gustavo Vianna (5 pt.)

The races of the Melges 14 fleet will resume tomorrow at 11.30 and it will be possible to complete up to three regattas.
